I travel about 90% of the year, so when I arrived in Bend for my first time ever, I tried SEVERAL different properties for a night or two. BUT it wasn't until I stayed at Chatel Motel Bend that I REALLY felt comfortable and happy and just overall like a "Home Away From Home". First off, the Owner and his Wife and Family are truly the KINDEST PEOPLE and go ABOVE AND BEYOND for their guests! The entire staff is very friendly, courteous and incredibly thorough! The rooms are VERY CLEAN, VERY comfortable rooms and beds, the property is conveniently located to everything, you can't beat the prices, super convenient parking and much more! AS AN EXTREMELY EXPERIENCED TRAVELER & GUEST... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WONDERFUL PROPERTY to EVERYONE whether you're a Solo traveler, Couples or Families and for Leisure or Business...JUST BOOK IT NOW!!!!!! DON'T HESITATE, BECAUSE THE LOVELY ROOMS BOOK UP SO QUICKLY! HAPPY TRAVELS!!!!!!!
It is a great stay for the money. Very quick drive to downtown. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms and very affordable. My room had a coffee maker but no coffee in the room, so I asked the front desk and they apologized and gave me a bag of coffee instantly, all smiles. They really try to make everyone happy. The owner also said "Good Morning!" and "Thank you!" when I left. I definitely recommend this place for anyone on a budget.
The room was incredibly clean, front desk people were very nice. We lost our key and they were very accommodating,could've charged us a lot more than they did. Definitely some sketchy people in the parking lot, however motel workers were constantly patrolling the lot to make sure nothing weird happened. Overall would recommend for the price and clean rooms/hot showers.
Passing though the area to hike south sister and needed a cheap place to crash for the night. Nothing fancy, but the place was clean, bed was decent, and you’ll have a hard time finding a lower price. Would return.
This place was clean. The staff friendly, beds were comfortable. Check in was easy. Now keep in mind this is not a new 5 star hotel but for its age and design it has been well maintained. Perfect type of place to spend the night on a trip to the coast. The carpets were newer. The bathroom tile and tub were newer, clean and well maintained. The room had coffee maker and refrigerator. I would strongly recomend.
We were passing through town and decided to call it a night. I called and requested a room 5 minutes before we got here. The front desk person was friendly and adhered to the price she quoted in our phone conversation. Room was somewhat dated (still definitely better than many motels), but was clean and smelled fine. Our room had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, and it was quiet. We'll stay here again anytime.

Booked through 3rd party, got an excellent deal. Exterior isn't great but was pleasantly surprised by rooms! Updated bathroom, nice furniture, awesome pillows. Very pleased with stay!
